Texas man charged with threatening Capital One executives over debt dispute
A Texas man, Taylor Bullard, faces federal charges for allegedly threatening to kill Capital One executives over a disputed debt. In a December 12 email, he warned the bank's collections agency of violent intentions, claiming they had ruined his life. Bullard, 34, has a history of making threats against companies he believes have wronged him. Previous incidents include threats involving anthrax and mass violence against financial institutions and Carvana, an online car dealer. He was arrested on December 20 and charged with sending threatening communications, which could lead to five years in prison. Bullard was released on a $25,000 bond and will be tried in Virginia, where Capital One is based.
