'The Electric State' drops to third in Netflix rankings
Netflix's movie, The Electric State, has dropped to #3 on its top 10 list shortly after its release. It was dethroned by a new documentary titled Twister: Caught in the Storm and the superhero film Kraven the Hunter. The Electric State was made with a big budget of $320 million. However, it is not performing well with critics, earning only 15% on Rotten Tomatoes. The audience score is better at 73%, but this does not seem to translate into high viewership numbers. Currently, The Electric State is behind popular films like Red Notice and Extraction 2. To become a hit, it needs to improve its viewing figures significantly. The Russo Brothers, who directed the film, have mentioned there are no plans for a sequel. However, they are considering a spin-off series set in the same universe. They also expressed their appreciation for star Millie Bobby Brown, mentioning she is always on their radar for projects. It's unclear how Netflix will view the performance of this film. If it ends up ranking in the top 10, it may be seen as a success, despite its high cost. Only time will tell how the streaming giant will respond to the film's reception.
