The Missing leaves Netflix on April 12, 2025

The critically acclaimed thriller series The Missing will soon be leaving Netflix. Fans of the show have only a few weeks left to watch it before it goes offline on 12th April 2025. First aired between 2014 and 2016, The Missing stars James Nesbitt in its first season. The series was created by Harry and Jack Williams, known for other thrillers like The Tourist. Subscribers are encouraged to binge-watch the show before it leaves Netflix. The first season tells the story of Tony and Emily Hughes, whose five-year-old son Oliver goes missing during a family holiday in France. The plot alternates between the time of Oliver's disappearance and the present day, focusing on Tony's quest to find his son and the official investigation led by detective Julien Baptiste. The second season features a different disappearance case and has a mostly new cast, including Keeley Hawes and David Morrissey. Tchéky Karyo reprises his role as Julien Baptiste, who later starred in his own spin-off series. While The Missing will be removed from Netflix, it remains available to stream on BBC iPlayer along with its spin-off, Baptiste.
