"The White Lotus" Season 3 recasts characters in Thailand
The HBO series "The White Lotus" underwent significant cast changes during the filming of its third season. Originally launched in 2021, the show centers around guests and staff at a luxury resort facing various challenges. This season, set in Thailand, introduced new actors including Leslie Bibb and Walton Goggins. However, some roles were recast as production began in February 2024. Miloš Biković, cast in a key role, was replaced after Ukraine criticized HBO for hiring him due to his support for Russia amid the ongoing war. Julian Kostov stepped in to take his place. Francesca Corney was initially signed to play a character named Chloe but was replaced by Charlotte Le Bon after one month. The show's creator and team wanted someone older for the role. Corney expressed her disappointment but was grateful for the opportunity. Additionally, Sam Rockwell joined the cast as Frank under last-minute circumstances, according to his wife Leslie Bibb. He was filming in South Africa before coming to the show, which caused some concerns about readiness. However, he was eventually persuaded to join.
