Thieves steal ₹3 lakh and gold in Chandigarh home

A house in Sector 43, Chandigarh was broken into, and thieves stole cash and jewelry. The owner, Mandeep Kaur, reported that ₹3 lakh and 20 grams of gold were taken from her home. Kaur, 40, had been away with her family. She left for Mohali Phase 1 on March 20 and returned on March 22 around 5:45 am. Upon arrival, she found the front door lock broken. Inside, the bed and almirah were open, and her valuables were missing. The police are investigating the incident. They are looking at CCTV footage from the area to find the suspects. A case has been registered at the Sector 36 Police Station.
