Thieves steal manuscripts, including 'thou shalt not steal'
Three manuscripts were stolen from St Andrew's Church in Little Steeping, Lincolnshire, including one that reads "thou shalt not steal." The theft was discovered last Sunday, with no damage to the church. Church warden Basil Harwood noted the irony of the theft, as one manuscript featured the Ten Commandments. He believes the thieves entered through a door secured from inside the church. The stolen items are valued at £300 and include another manuscript of The Lord’s Prayer. Dirty footprints were the only evidence left behind.
