Threads updates algorithm to prioritize content from followed accounts

Meta's Instagram Threads is changing its algorithm to show more content from accounts users follow. Instagram head Adam Mosseri announced that the new algorithm will prioritize posts from followed accounts, reducing recommended content from others. He noted that creators may see a decrease in their reach to new audiences. Additionally, Threads recently introduced custom feeds, giving users more control over their content. Despite having over 275 million monthly users, Threads faces competition from Bluesky, which has surpassed 20 million users.
