Three arrested for possessing nearly 8 kg ganja

On Wednesday, police and Excise officials arrested three people in separate cases involving nearly eight kilograms of suspected ganja. In the first case, Neelu Deuri from Odisha was caught with 1.25 kilograms of ganja during a special operation called Clean Slate in North Paravur. His accomplice managed to escape, and authorities are currently searching for him. In a second incident, Nedumbassery police arrested 24-year-old Deepu Mandal from Murshidabad, West Bengal. He was found in Desom with 1.30 kilograms of ganja and was reportedly there to sell it. Police also seized a weighing machine from him. These arrests follow a previous case where Imadul Sekh, also from Murshidabad, was arrested with nearly five kilograms of ganja on Tuesday in Kakkanad.
