Three arrested in Noida for extortion scheme

Three men have been arrested in Noida for allegedly recording a personal video of a 30-year-old man and extorting money from him. The suspects, aged 19 to 22, lured the victim with a fake job offer. The incident occurred on Thursday when the victim received a call from an unknown number. Believing the job offer was genuine, he went to the suspects' location. Instead of offering a job, they forced him to perform inappropriate acts and recorded it on their phone. After the recording, the suspects threatened to share the video on social media unless the victim paid them ₹2,500. They also warned him against contacting the police. The next day, they extorted an additional ₹1,500, threatening him with harm. Feeling trapped, the victim finally went to the police and filed a complaint. Authorities registered a case against the suspects and arrested them on Sunday. Police are now investigating if the suspects have victimized others in the past.
