Three boys charged with raping schoolgirl in Rochdale

Three boys, ages 13, 14, and 15, have been charged with raping a schoolgirl in Rochdale. The incident reportedly took place on February 10, 2024. The victim is under 16 years old. The boys face a charge of rape and two additional counts of raping a female under 16. Their names have not been released due to legal protections for minors. They are scheduled to appear in Manchester Youth Court on March 24. A fourth boy was arrested but has been released without any charges. Greater Manchester Police confirmed that specially trained officers will continue to support the victim. Detective Superintendent Phil Key mentioned that the investigation involved extensive evidence review. He also reminded the public not to speculate on the identities of those involved, as it could harm the legal process.
