Police in Peroorkada have charged three people with fraud involving a job visa scheme. The accused include a couple, Anumod and Anu Sankar, who run a local office of an education company, and their friend Sooraj Satheesh. The case began after a 40-year-old man from Pulimath reported that he was cheated out of Rs 3.5 lakh. He had reached out to the accused after seeing their job advertisements on social media. The victim paid the money in stages from August 2023 to March 2024, expecting a job visa for Poland. However, after months of waiting, he became suspicious when they couldn't deliver. When he asked for a refund, they refused. Frustrated, he decided to contact the police. Investigators are looking into whether this group has been involved in other similar fraud cases in the area.
