Three Colorado players won millions in Powerball

Three players in Colorado won big this month in the Powerball lottery. A ticket sold in Denver won $2 million, while tickets from Loveland and Pueblo each won $1 million. One of the winners, Sean S., played numbers that belonged to his grandfather. He used them on a Quick Pick ticket just before St. Patrick’s Day. He won $1 million and found out through a phone notification. Sean plans to save most of his winnings for retirement but may also spend some on home improvements and a new car. He joked about wanting a Corvette but said a more practical choice like a Tahoe might be better since he has two kids. In addition to these big prizes, a $100,000 ticket was sold in Longmont before the March 19 drawing. A previous drawing on March 12 also had winners, including another $1 million ticket sold in Loveland. As of Saturday morning, the Powerball jackpot had reached $444 million. The next drawing is set for 8:59 p.m.
