Three Colorado prison wardens placed on administrative leave
Three wardens at Colorado state prisons were placed on administrative leave earlier this month. The decision came on March 5 and was confirmed by the Colorado Department of Corrections on Monday. The wardens are Jeff Long from Sterling Correctional Facility, Ryan Long from the Denver Reception and Diagnostic Center, and Shane Stucker from the Fremont Correctional Facility. A fourth employee, Joshua Dorcey, was also placed on leave the following day. All four have worked for the Department of Corrections for over a decade. Details about the reasons for their leave have not been disclosed. State officials said they could not comment on personnel matters or any potential investigations. However, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation stated they are not conducting any criminal investigation related to the wardens. The three wardens manage facilities that house more than 4,600 inmates. Attempts to reach the wardens and Dorcey for comments were unsuccessful.
