Three cops injured in Munger mob justice resistance
Three police officers were injured in Munger district, Bihar, during an attack by villagers resisting the police's attempt to take custody of two thieves. This incident marks the fourth attack on police in the area within a week. The police were confronted by residents of Fasiyabad village, who demanded immediate punishment for the thieves. A constable suffered serious injuries from a stone, while others sustained minor injuries. Police have arrested 24 individuals, including three women. Previously, attacks on police in Munger resulted in the death of an assistant sub-inspector and injuries to five officers. The recent violence has raised concerns about mob justice in the region.
