Three drug suppliers arrested in Chandigarh nightclubs
Police in Chandigarh have arrested three men linked to a drug supply network targeting nightclubs. The main suspect is Vijay Kumar, who also goes by several aliases, including Vishal and Buggi. His financial manager, Mohit Kumar, and accomplice Rajat, known as Prabh Gill, were also taken into custody. The arrests were made after leads emerged from a previous arrest in January. Police had arrested a man named Gautam, who was found with 70 grams of heroin. This led to further arrests, including another individual named Rohit who had 10.30 grams of heroin. Mohit Kumar, who managed the finances for Vijay’s drug operations, was arrested on March 15. During questioning, he admitted to buying an expensive car with drug money and covering Vijay's living expenses. They had fled to Goa to escape capture but returned to Chandigarh later. Vijay was arrested shortly after Mohit. Police found drugs and cash at the time of his arrest. Vijay revealed that Rajat purchased drugs from him for sale in nightclubs. Rajat was arrested on March 16 while near a popular venue. On March 20, police conducted a raid on Mohit’s clothing store in Mohali. They seized items worth ₹6 lakh, believed to be bought with money from drug sales. The investigation continues as authorities work to dismantle the drug operation.
