Three hospitalized after police crash in Sydney pursuit

Three people were taken to the hospital after a police car crashed into another car in Sydney's south-west. The incident occurred shortly after midnight during a police chase. At about 12:15 am, police were pursuing a black Mazda on Elizabeth Drive in Bonnyrigg. The police car collided with a white sedan that was not involved in the chase at the intersection of Cabramatta Road West. The driver of the sedan, a 35-year-old man, suffered neck and back pain and was hospitalized for assessment. Two police officers also sustained minor injuries and were taken to the hospital. The police driver will undergo mandatory testing following the crash. An investigation is currently in progress. Authorities are asking anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact Fairfield Police or Crime Stoppers.
