Three killed in bus overturning accident in Jabalpur

Three people were killed and 33 others injured when a bus overturned in the Raman Pur Valley area of Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, on Sunday. The victims were identified as Subham Meshram, 28, and Amol Khode, 42, both from Nagpur, and Malamma, 45, from Hyderabad. The bus was traveling from Ayodhya to Nagpur when it lost control and overturned between 4:00 and 4:50 am. Two passengers died at the scene, while Malamma later died at Lakhnadon Hospital. The injured passengers were taken to various hospitals in Seoni and Lakhnadon for treatment. The bus driver fled the scene after the accident, and police are searching for him. Anjul Ayank Mishra, the local superintendent of police, confirmed that 14 passengers remain hospitalized, but none have critical injuries. There were 36 passengers on board the bus, and most were discharged after receiving primary treatment. Authorities have identified the accident site as a problem area, known locally as 'Khooni Ghati' due to frequent accidents. Police noted that the road's gradients can cause drivers to lose control if they are speeding or careless. Work is underway to improve the road safety conditions.
