Three killed in road accidents in Bantwal, Karnataka

Three people died in separate road accidents in Bantwal, Karnataka. The incidents occurred within the limits of the Bantwal traffic police station. In one accident on Saturday, a 69-year-old man named G.A. Gafoor was killed. His SUV collided with a tipper lorry after it jumped a road divider. A passenger in the SUV also died from injuries. Another accident involved a 47-year-old pedestrian named Mahabala. He was struck by a pick-up lorry while crossing the road near Thumbe. This incident happened on Saturday evening, and he died on the spot. A third case involved a hit-and-run that occurred on Friday. A 60-year-old woman named Vasanthi was also killed while crossing the road near 10th Mile, Farangipete. The driver fled the scene but was later identified through CCTV footage. Police have registered cases for each accident, and investigations are currently underway.
