Three militants arrested for kidnapping in Manipur

Three militants linked to the Kangleipak Communist Party (MFL) were arrested in Imphal West district, Manipur. Police confirmed the arrests on Friday, March 21, 2025. The suspects were identified as Aheibam Gandhi, Thongam Naoba Meitei, and Ningthouba Momocha Singh. They were wanted for their involvement in a kidnapping case. The police seized a four-wheeler from the militants during the arrests. In addition to these arrests, security forces recovered arms, ammunition, and explosives across the state in the past 24 hours. In Jiribam district, police found 100 sticks of Stardyne-901 explosives and 20 live rounds of 5.56 mm ammunition. Meanwhile, in Kangpokpi district, two 7.62 mm rifles, a .303 bore rifle, a locally-made pistol, an air pistol, and five radio sets were also recovered from different villages.
