Three Munster Hurling games to stream on GAA+

irishmirror.ie

Three important games from the Munster Hurling Championship will be available on GAA+, the subscription channel. The rest of the matches will be aired on RTE, the national broadcaster, which recently released its full schedule for the summer. Fans expressed disappointment last year over the scheduling of All-Ireland hurling quarter-finals on Saturdays. There were discussions to move these matches to Sundays, particularly to avoid conflicts with other significant events. However, those plans did not materialize, and the original schedule remains. The televised championship games will start on April 6, with the Ulster Senior Football Championship match between Donegal and Derry. A significant match is scheduled for April 19 and 20, with RTE showing the clash of Galway and Kilkenny in the Leinster Hurling Championship on April 19. On April 20, RTE will broadcast the Munster game between Clare and Cork, as well as a Connacht Football Semi-Final. However, Tipperary's match against Limerick on the same day will only be available on GAA+, similar to the game between Waterford and Limerick on May 3. The match on May 10 between Clare and Tipperary will also be exclusive to GAA+. Fans of both Limerick and Tipperary must subscribe to watch two out of four of their team's Munster Championship games. In contrast, all of Cork's hurling matches will be live on RTE this year, responding to previous complaints from fans.
