Three shot dead in Pompano Beach home
Three people were found dead from gunshot wounds in a Pompano Beach home on Wednesday evening. The Broward Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies went to the home for a welfare check around 7 p.m. When deputies arrived at the house on South Golf Boulevard, they knocked but received no response. Pompano Beach Fire Rescue had to force their way inside. Once they entered, they discovered the bodies of three individuals. A neighbor, Lauren Gultz, said the victims were a mother, father, and son who had rented the house for about a year. She noted that they kept to themselves and were seldom seen in the area. The last time she saw them was on Saturday when the son took out the trash. Gultz described the news as "shocking." She saw police cars outside the home before going to bed on Wednesday. By early Thursday, the neighborhood was calm again. The BSO Homicide and Crime Scene Unit is investigating the incident. Further updates will be provided as the situation develops.
