Tim Walz criticizes attacks on his masculinity in Minnesota
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has shared his frustration over recent attacks on his masculinity during his vice presidential campaign for 2024. On a podcast, he discussed how Fox News criticized him for using a straw to drink a milkshake. He was surprised by the amount of attention this received, stating it baffled him. Walz mentioned that commentators on the network accused him of lacking masculinity and even hinted at his sexuality. He expressed disbelief over their focus on his behaviors, saying, "How else do you drink a milkshake?" In addition to the milkshake incident, Walz faced criticism after a video showed him struggling with a shotgun during a hunting trip. Critics have also labeled him "Tampon Tim" for supporting legislation that requires schools to provide menstrual products in both boys' and girls' restrooms. Despite the backlash, Walz is actively campaigning by visiting red districts across the country. He aims to amplify the voices of everyday Americans. Looking to the future, he has indicated he may consider a presidential run in 2028 if the timing and circumstances are favorable.
