Timber trader dies in Silchar motorcycle accident
A timber trader named Foyjul Haque, 50, died in a motorcycle accident in Silchar, Assam. The crash occurred on Sunday morning at the Maina Bypass in the Patharkandi area. Foyjul was riding his bike towards Baraigram around 8:30 am when an auto rickshaw lost control. The auto hit a parked truck before colliding with Foyjul's motorcycle. Both Foyjul and the auto driver were seriously injured in the crash. Local residents helped the injured, but Foyjul suffered severe bleeding and died at the scene. The auto driver was taken to Sribhumi Sadar Hospital in critical condition. Police from Baraigram station responded to the accident. They sent Foyjul's body to Silchar Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy. Community members have called on local authorities to provide support for Foyjul's family in their time of need.
