Tina Fey criticizes wealthy celebrities' side hustles
Tina Fey recently shared her thoughts on the trend of celebrities having side hustles. During a podcast episode with her friend Amy Poehler, Fey made it clear that she has no interest in starting her own fashion brand. Fey, 53, is comfortable financially but has complicated feelings about money. She admitted to Poehler that she "kind of hates money" and doesn't get excited about it. Fey stated she feels safe with enough money to live but struggles with the idea of wealthy people having additional business ventures. When Poehler suggested Fey should have her own eyeglasses line, Fey explained that the idea doesn’t appeal to her. They both agreed that while some side hustles are acceptable, extravagant ones, like a rosé brand, seem excessive for someone already very rich. Despite Poehler’s encouragement to embrace such trends, Fey was firm in her judgment. The two friends laughed about the differences in their views but maintained a light-hearted tone throughout their conversation. Fey and Poehler have been friends for over 30 years and have collaborated on many projects, including their time on Saturday Night Live.
