Tokyo Revengers announces new season for fifth anniversary
The popular anime "Tokyo Revengers" is set to return with a new season called "Tokyo Revengers: War of The Three Deities." This announcement comes as part of the celebration for the anime's fifth anniversary. In this new season, fans will once again follow the character Hanagaki Takemichi as he tries to change a troubled present by traveling back to the past. While the release date is not yet known, the studio behind the series, Liden Films, has shared exciting news about the upcoming story. One major change for the new season is the director. Maki Kodaira will take over the role, replacing Koichi Hatsumi, who directed previous seasons. Kodaira has experience with popular anime such as "Boruto," "Pokemon," and "The Seven Deadly Sins." The "Three Deities Arc" will continue the story after the intense conflict between two gangs. The main character, Takemichi, grapples with the consequences of a recent battle and seeks a future where his love, Hinata Tachibana, is alive. However, he discovers a new struggle as three teams fight for control in what is called the “Three Heavens Era.” The original manga for "Tokyo Revengers," created by Ken Wakui, concluded in 2022. The Three Deities Arc was significant as it led up to the series' final storyline. While it is uncertain if there will be additional seasons to wrap up the story, many fans are hopeful that the anime will complete Takemichi's journey.
