Tom Homan urges voters to oust unhelpful Republicans

Tom Homan, the border czar, criticized some congressional Republicans for not fully supporting President Donald Trump's efforts to secure the border. He spoke at an event with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis at the New College of Florida. Homan expressed disappointment that many Republicans had not learned from past experiences during Trump's first term. He argued that both the House and Senate failed to assist the president, not just Democrats. He urged voters to take action against Republicans who do not support Trump’s agenda by voting them out. House Majority Whip Tom Emmer emphasized the need for the Senate to act more quickly on Trump’s legislative agenda. He believes Republicans should focus on increasing funding for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to support Trump's deportation goals. In February, House Speaker Mike Johnson mentioned plans to codify Trump's executive orders. This would make it harder for future presidents to undo Trump's policies. Johnson stated they were committed to protecting Trump's initiatives to ensure they remain in place over time.
