Top 50 NFL draft prospects ranked ahead of April
The 2025 NFL draft is approaching, beginning on April 24 in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Matt Miller has updated his rankings of the top 50 prospects in the draft class after the NFL Combine and extensive scouting. This year's draft features a mix of opinions among evaluators. While there are about five or six elite players, the rankings for many others vary widely. Some prospects are rated as top-10 picks by one scout but only as second-rounders by another. Miller's rankings focus on his own assessments, rather than a general consensus. Each of the top 50 prospects has a scouting report included. Underclassmen are marked with an asterisk. One standout prospect is Abdul Carter, an edge rusher from Penn State. At 6 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 250 pounds, Carter has excelled transitioning from linebacker to a full-time defensive end. He achieved 61 pressures and 12 sacks in the 2024 season. His strong speed, burst, and power make him a top pick, and Miller suggests teams in the top five should consider him.
