Torfinnur Jákupsson launches UK indie with Nordic Noir

Torfinnur Jákupsson, creator of "Trom," has launched a new UK-based company called Red Herring Story. The company will focus on developing high-end scripted and unscripted thrillers, starting with a Nordic Noir project set in London’s Canary Wharf. Red Herring Story aims to explore themes like corporate crime and greenwashing. It will also introduce a Faroese writers' room called Roykstovan, inspired by traditional storytelling practices from the Faroe Islands. This new venture allows Jákupsson to collaborate more closely with UK broadcasters and expand his projects beyond the Faroe Islands, blending Nordic storytelling with British drama.
