Tornadoes cause one death and several injuries in Houston area

At least one person has died and four others were injured after several tornadoes struck the Houston area on Saturday. The fatalities occurred in Liverpool, south of Houston, while injuries reported were not critical. Tornadoes touched down in multiple locations, including Katy, Cypress, and Splendora. Significant damage occurred to homes and vehicles, particularly between Alvin and Liverpool, where several homes were destroyed. Houston's main airports experienced departure delays exceeding one hour due to the storms. Authorities are still assessing the overall damage, which includes around ten damaged homes and mobile homes in affected areas.
