Tornadoes in Texas and Mississippi kill two and injure six as storms move east
Two people have died and six others were injured after tornadoes struck Texas and Mississippi. The storms caused significant damage to homes and vehicles as they moved eastward, prompting severe weather warnings in Alabama and Georgia. In Texas, one fatality occurred in Liverpool, south of Houston, with four non-critical injuries reported. Multiple tornado touchdowns were confirmed in Brazoria County, where officials are assessing damage to around ten homes. In Mississippi, one person died in Adams County, and two were injured in Franklin County. The storms left about 81,000 utility customers without power in Mississippi, with damage assessments expected to begin soon.
