Tornadoes kill four and cause widespread damage across southern US states

At least four people died over the weekend as tornadoes struck parts of the South, causing extensive damage. In Brazoria County, Texas, an EF-2 tornado killed Jamie Brown, a mother of eight, and damaged around 40 homes. In Mississippi, two fatalities were reported, including an 18-year-old cheerleader, Ty’Keria Rogers, who died when a tree fell on her house. A 68-year-old woman in Lowndes County also died after losing power to her oxygen supply. The storms affected 14 counties in Mississippi and caused delays at major airports. Reports indicated at least 45 instances of tornado damage across several states, including Texas, Louisiana, and Alabama.
