Tour of Thailand 2025 starts in Sa Kaeo next week
The Tour of Thailand 2025 is set to begin next week in Sa Kaeo. The event runs from March 24 to April 2 and covers nine districts with a total distance of 1,071.21 km. The men's race will feature six stages from March 24 to 29. Meanwhile, the women's race will consist of three stages from March 31 to April 2. Officials expect many international cyclists to participate, which is likely to bring in numerous visitors. Kritsada Tanterdtid, secretary to the Minister of Tourism and Sports, noted that last year, Thailand attracted 37 million visitors. This year, they predict the number will reach 39-40 million. He believes the cycling tour will significantly boost tourism and the economy, especially from tourists with higher spending power. The race route will pass by key tourist attractions in Sa Kaeo, further promoting the area. Gen Decha Hemkrasi, president of the Thai Cycling Association, mentioned that this event is a good opportunity for local cyclists to gain experience for future competitions. Sa Kaeo Governor Parinya Photisat assured that they have ensured the safety of all participants. He also highlighted that there will be plenty of accommodation and food options for athletes, officials, and tourists during the tournament.
