Viral TikTok videos showed customers waiting to buy them as stores had to limit purchases. Trader Joe's acknowledged the bags sold faster than expected. At one point, some people were reselling the totes online for prices as high as $500. The company stated that it does not support this resale practice and is working to prevent it.
