Trader Joe's recalls sparkling water over laceration risks

Trader Joe's is recalling about 61,500 bottles of sparkling water due to safety concerns. The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced that some bottles may crack or leak at the bottom, creating a laceration hazard. The affected product is Gerolsteiner 750ml Sparkling Water, which was sold in 12 states, including Florida. The bottles were priced around $3 and were available from December 2024 to January 2025. Gerolsteiner identified the issue during routine quality checks. They noted that cracks could form because of problems with one of their suppliers. So far, no injuries have been reported related to this recall. Customers who bought the affected bottles should stop using them.
