Trailer accident blocks lanes, causing morning traffic delays
A trailer truck accident caused significant traffic delays on Balestier Road in Singapore on the morning of March 21. The incident happened when a silo tank the trailer was carrying became detached, resulting in one end of the tank ending up on the pavement. The accident led to the closure of two out of three lanes on Balestier Road towards Thomson Road for about two hours. According to the driver, known only as Mr. Thilip, the accident occurred while he was turning at the junction of Kim Keat Road and Balestier Road. Traffic Police worked to manage the jams during this time. A crane arrived around 11:15 AM to remove the trailer truck and the tank, which helped restore normal traffic flow. Authorities reported no injuries from the accident. The 31-year-old driver is currently assisting with an investigation.
