Train derailment in Texas kills two Union Pacific employees and injures three

Two people died and three were injured when a train derailed and hit a building in Pecos, Texas, on December 18. The deceased were veteran employees of Union Pacific Railroad, who were on the train during the incident. The train collided with a tractor-trailer before striking the Chamber of Commerce building. Three individuals sustained minor injuries and have been released from the hospital. The National Transportation Safety Board has sent six investigators to the scene.
