During this time, users should walk at a speed of 3 km/h on an incline of 5. This helps to gradually raise the heart rate and prepare the muscles for more intense activity. From minutes 6 to 10, the speed should increase to 3.8 km/h with the incline set to 8. This will engage the glutes, hamstrings, and calves, pushing the body into a fat-burning zone. The most intense part of the session occurs from minutes 10 to 15. The speed rises to 4 km/h, and the incline goes up to 11. This phase is crucial for burning calories. For minutes 15 to 20, participants should slow down to a speed of 3 km/h and lower the incline to 9. Finally, for the last segment, walk at 4 km/h with a steep incline of 12. This challenging incline boosts endurance and enhances calorie burn. JosiahPhysique explains that walking on an incline increases energy expenditure by about 4% for each gradient increase.
