Travel agents in Sirsa charged with visa fraud
Two travel agents in Sirsa have been charged with visa fraud. The accused, Kuldeep Kumar and his associate Tamanna, operated a visa consultancy called Royal Travels. The Sirsa police report that they defrauded 13 people out of ₹ 40 lakh by promising to arrange visas for Spain. Dharam Singh, a resident of Patiala, filed a complaint after he paid ₹ 20,000 in advance and an additional ₹ 3 lakh on February 1. Singh discovered that the visa and flight ticket he received were fake. Authorities say the agents not only targeted Singh but also victims from the Hisar and Fatehabad areas. After the fraud was reported, both agents went into hiding, and their mobile phones are switched off. Police have registered cases against the agents under several sections of the law, including criminal breach of trust and cheating. The investigation is ongoing.
