Trey Lance could sign with Washington Commanders
The Dallas Cowboys have lost backup quarterback Cooper Rush to the Baltimore Ravens, leaving them in need of an experienced backup. Trey Lance, also a free agent, could return to the Cowboys or join the Washington Commanders. Lance, the third overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, started one game for the Cowboys last season. The Commanders may be interested in him to support their franchise quarterback, Jayden Daniels, in specific running situations. With the Ravens now unlikely to pursue a backup quarterback, the Commanders appear to be a strong option for Lance.
