Tripura CM urges youth to engage in politics

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha emphasized the importance of youth participation in politics. He spoke at the state-level Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament competition held at the Tripura Legislative Assembly Hall. He believes it is essential for older generations to teach young people about the parliamentary system. Saha noted that in 2019, a program was established to engage youth aged 18 to 25 with the parliamentary system. This initiative aims to increase interest in Parliament and improve young people's understanding of its norms. During the competition, 38 youth contestants from eight districts of Tripura participated, with a higher number of girls involved, which Saha welcomed as positive news. He stressed the evolving perspective of the country and highlighted ongoing efforts by the Prime Minister towards economic and social development. The Chief Minister encouraged the younger generation to contribute to the country's overall progress in various areas, including security and socio-economic conditions.
