Tropical cyclones Kristine and Leon have impacted 2.2 million families, affecting over 8.6 million people across 12,053 barangays, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council. The death toll stands at 146, with 20 people still missing. As of Sunday, 703 roads and 92 bridges are passable, while power has been restored to 323 of 367 affected municipalities. Communication lines remain disrupted in 48 areas, and 75 of 96 affected seaports are operational. Damage estimates include 189,340 houses and significant agricultural losses totaling over P4.5 billion. President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. has declared November 4 a Day of National Mourning for the victims of the storms.
