Tropical storm Man-yi set to impact Luzon and Eastern Visayas with heavy rain and strong winds
Tropical Storm Man-yi is expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility on November 14, bringing heavy rain and strong winds to Southern Luzon, Central Luzon, and Eastern Visayas. It is currently located 1,375 kilometers east of Mindanao. Man-yi has intensified, with maximum sustained winds increasing to 85 km/h. It may strengthen further into a severe tropical storm before entering PAR and could reach typhoon status by November 15. The Philippine weather bureau warns of potential flooding and landslides due to heavy rainfall, particularly in areas like Quezon, Camarines Norte, and Metro Manila. Hazardous sea conditions are also expected along the eastern seaboard.
