Severe Tropical Storm Nika, also known as Toraji, is weakening as it moves northwest over the West Philippine Sea. It was last located 185 kilometers west of Laoog City, Ilocos Norte, with maximum winds of 95 km/h. The Philippine weather agency, Pagasa, has lifted Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2, leaving only Signal No. 1 in effect. This indicates strong winds of 39 to 61 km/h in certain areas, posing minimal threats. Nika is expected to exit the Philippine area of responsibility within 12 hours and may weaken further, potentially becoming a remnant low near southern China. A gale warning is in place for parts of Northern Luzon.
