Tropical Storm Ofel enters Philippine Area of Responsibility

A new Tropical Storm, named Ofel, has entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR). It is located 1,125 kilometers east of Eastern Visayas, with maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour. Severe Tropical Storm Nika, also active, is 150 kilometers west northwest of Laoag City, Ilocos Norte. It has maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour and is moving west northwest at 20 kilometers per hour. Another Tropical Storm, Man-Yi, remains outside PAR, located 2,870 kilometers east of Southeastern Luzon. It has maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour and is moving westward at 10 kilometers per hour.
