Tropical wave in Caribbean shows high potential for development into storm

A tropical wave in the Caribbean is being monitored for potential development, with a high chance of becoming a tropical storm later this week. The next name on the Atlantic list is Sara. Tropical Storm Rafael has weakened and is no longer being tracked by the National Hurricane Center. It will continue to bring rain and storms to parts of the northern Gulf Coast, but Texas is expected to remain dry. In the Gulf, a medium chance of development exists for a system over the southern Caribbean. Increased surf and rip currents are anticipated along the Texas coast due to Rafael's remnants.
