Truck chases bloody woman; two arrested for assault
Witnesses in Westlake, Ohio, reported a frightening scene on March 16. A large white truck was seen making U-turns on Center Ridge Road as it chased a bloody woman. The woman was running away from the truck when people called the police. When officers arrived, they found the woman had entered the truck, which later went to a nearby housing development. The police tracked down the truck on Magnolia Way. They found a 61-year-old man near the vehicle, who had injuries from a physical fight with the 58-year-old woman. The man had minor knife wounds that needed stitches, while the woman had only superficial injuries. Both individuals were arrested and face charges of domestic violence, felonious assault, and unlawful restraint. The court issued protection orders against them. In a separate incident, police arrested a 31-year-old man on Crocker Road on March 15. He was wanted by Independence Police for violating a protection order. Upon his arrest, officers found drug paraphernalia on him. While in jail, he violated the protection order again by trying to contact the woman it was meant to protect.
