Truck collides with train in Amethi, one injured
A container truck collided with a goods train early Tuesday morning in Amethi district, Uttar Pradesh. The accident occurred at the Ayodhya-Rae Bareli railway crossing when the truck crossed the tracks while the level crossing gates were open. The driver of the truck, Sonu Chaudhary, was seriously injured in the crash. He was first taken to a community health center and later moved to a district hospital. His condition is now stable, according to police reports. The impact of the collision caused significant damage to both the truck and the front section of the train. Train services have been suspended due to damage to the railway track and electrical infrastructure. Officials from Northern Railways announced that repairs are in progress. The Divisional Railway Manager for Lucknow, Sachinder Mohan Sharma, stated that services will resume shortly once the repairs are completed.
