Truck crash at Dehradun toll plaza kills two men
Two men died in a tragic accident at a toll plaza in Dehradun on Monday morning. Their car was hit by a truck that reportedly lost its brakes at the Lachhiwala toll plaza on the Dehradun-Haridwar highway. The victims were identified as Ratanmani Uniyal and Pankaj Kumar. Both worked at the Tehri district court and were on their way to work. The truck, a dumper vehicle, collided with three cars after losing control, causing significant damage to one of them. Police moved quickly to retrieve the bodies and send them to the mortuary. The driver of the dumper has been taken into custody. Authorities have reviewed all necessary documents for the truck and found them to be in order. Investigators are also examining the background of the materials being transported. Footage from security cameras shows that the truck was moving at a normal speed before the accident occurred, but then it suddenly crashed into other vehicles near the toll.
