Truck driver dies in collision on Delhi-Mumbai Expressway

A tragic accident occurred on the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway near Hirwadi in Nuh early on March 17. A container truck driver named Vikram Singh, 34, lost his life after crashing into a parked truck. Singh, who was from Shivpuri in Madhya Pradesh, died instantly. The parked truck had no hazard lights on and was illegally positioned on the expressway. The driver of the stationary truck fled the scene after the collision. According to the police, Singh was traveling to Delhi from Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan. The crash happened around 2 a.m. The impact of the collision was severe, causing extensive damage to the truck's cabin. Emergency responders worked to free Singh, but he suffered fatal injuries. His body was sent for an autopsy and later returned to his family on Monday evening. Singh's cousin, Ajit Singh, has filed a complaint with the police. Authorities have registered a case against the unknown driver under laws concerning negligence and public safety. Police are currently investigating the incident and checking footage from nearby areas to find the driver who fled. There were no CCTV cameras at the crash site, complicating the search.
