Truck runs over brothers in Kaushambi; one dies

A truck ran over two brothers in Kaushambi late Monday night. The incident left one brother dead and the other critically injured. Their father believes it was a deliberate attack linked to a local dispute. The boys, Rajesh and Sonu, had gone to a feast in their village. There, they got into a fight with another resident over a minor issue. The person they quarreled with allegedly threatened to harm them. As the brothers were riding home on their bike, the accused drove his truck into them. Family members rushed the brothers to a medical facility. Sonu, aged 16, died while being transferred to SRN Hospital in Prayagraj. Rajesh, the other brother, remains in critical condition at a medical college. Police have received a formal complaint from the father and are investigating the incident. They plan to register a case based on the evidence gathered. ASP Rajesh Kumar Singh stated that the allegations are serious and will be taken seriously.
